DO SOME GOOD ...

UNOC supports the incredible work of the Children First Foundation, an organisation set up to support the humanitarian work of Moira Kelly, AO.  The Foundation’s mission is to provide a safe haven for children, irrespective of race or creed, who are in need of medical or emotional support.

Established in 1999, the Foundation, through its Miracle sMiles Program, has facilitated nearly 350 dramatically life changing medical procedures for children from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia, East Timor, Ethiopia, Iraq, Macedonia, Papua New Guinea, Palestine, Pakistan, Somalia, The Philippines, Tibet, Uganda and Tanzania.

The Miracle sMiles Program is the Foundation’s key means of assisting international children in need.  This Program identifies children in war-torn or poverty-stricken lands suffering from debilitating illness, injury or deformity, and brings them to Australia for life-saving or profoundly life-changing surgery.  Rehabilitation is then undertaken at the Foundation’s Farm at Kilmore.  Donated and built by Rotary, and operated by committed volunteers, the Farm provides a loving and peaceful environment for the children whilst recuperating.

The Foundation also assists disadvantaged Australian children through the provision of educational experiences and medical assistance.
